BluePoint Planning helped the City of Soledad complete a comprehensive update to the Parks and Recreation Master Plan. This plan will be used to guide the development, use, and maintenance of parks and recreational spaces across the city. The update of the Parks and Recreation Master Plan included evaluating existing and potential sites, community needs, and trends and provides priorities and recommendations for each existing parks as well as new parks to meet the City’s needs for now and the future.

Soledad has a strong and diverse sense of community. To ensure the Parks and Recreation planning process was grounded in community-lived experience the process included an extensive amount of engagement including the development of multi-lingual workshops and outreach materials, community surveys, stakeholder interviews, community pop-up, online engagement opportunities, and a project website.

BluePoint developed an analysis of the planning context, Existing Conditions Analysis, a Park Inventory and Conditions Assessment, and a Needs Assessment tailored to the City. In addition. BluePoint reviewed and coordinated with the General Plan Update.
