BluePoint provided facilitation, outreach planning, overall review and development of community engagement efforts and strategy support. In addition, BluePoint provided feedback on the Adaptation Plan to ensure the Plan helps to meet the City’s goals, is feasible, and provides the range of engagement opportunities and insights to support a vibrant and successful plan. BluePoint worked closely with the City to develop innovative tools such as using ARCGIS storymaps to reach the community during the pandemic, and provide materials that were accessible to all stakeholders equitably. The project will allow the City to address long-term management of climate change impacts as well as eliminating the need to require emergency permits from the Coastal Commission.
